Important Information: The EU REACH List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) has been updated to 233 items!!!

According to Reach testing regulations, companies producing SVHC and companies manufacturing products containing SVHC have different responsibilities and obligations:

When SVHC is sold as a substance, SDS needs to be provided to downstream users;

Information transmission: If the content is>0.1% but the export volume is<1 ton/year, the information of the substance needs to be transmitted in the supply chain;

Notification: If the content is greater than 0.1% and meets the export volume of>1 ton/year, it is necessary to notify ECHA.

According to the Waste Framework Directive WFD requirements:

If the content is greater than 0.1%, SCIP notification is required, and the SCIP notification information will be published on the ECHA official website. NTEK recommends that companies pay attention to regulatory developments in a timely manner, collect relevant information about their products in a timely manner, and ensure the compliance of their products entering the EU.

Nowadays, many companies exporting to the EU are required to provide relevant information on SVHC in their products, but they often do not understand why they need to do so, let alone how to respond. The EU strictly implements the REACH regulation for products circulating within its borders, which means that products within the EU must fulfill all obligations of the REACH regulation in order to be legally produced or imported/exported. SVHC is an important component of the REACH regulation, and companies that do not provide SVHC information in their products violate the REACH regulation. Enterprises that violate regulations will face product recalls, fines, and even imprisonment.
