For the purpose of this article, point (b) of Article 4 (1) applies to substances, mixtures, or articles with UV-328 concentrations equal to or lower than 1mg/kg (0.0001% by mass). 2. As an exception, items containing UV-328 may be placed on the market and used in the following situations: (1) Used in land motor vehicles, allowed until February 26, 2030; (2) Mechanical separator used in blood collection tubes, allowed until February 26, 2030; (3) The cellulose triacetate film used in polarizing films is allowed until February 26, 2030; (4) Used in photographic paper, allowed until February 26, 2030; (5) The spare parts of the following equipment, if they were originally produced using UV-328, are allowed to be used until the end of their service life or until 2044, whichever is earlier: (6) Land motor vehicles; (7) Fixed industrial machinery used in agriculture, forestry, and construction; (8) LCD display devices used for analysis, measurement, control, monitoring, testing, production, and inspection, except for medical equipment; (9) The spare parts of the following equipment, if already in use with UV-328 during production, are allowed to be used until the end of their service life: (10) LCD displays in equipment that comply with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and Regulation (EU) 2017/746; (11) LCD display devices used for analysis, measurement, control, testing, production, and inspection. Articles containing UV-328 that have been used within the European Union before or on the expiration date of the relevant exemptions provided for in Article 2 (1) to (11) may continue to be used.
